Debs for ARM

Mon, 02/04/2013 - 04:52
As an experiment, I've set up a build farm on my personal desktop to run
ROS builds for ARM. At the moment, I'm building ROS Groovy for Ubuntu
Oneiric and Precise. I've only been able to build catkin packages at
this point, but it's enough for me to run the basics on my Pandaboard.

If anyone else is interested, my buildfarm status page is here:

3D Printing software

Sun, 02/03/2013 - 05:48
I need to create a small enclosure and some small parts and I see Techshop
has a 3D printing service. They told me all I have to do is give them an
STL file. Can someone recommend CAD/CAM software I could use to make my
enclosure?

Anybody coming in from Mountain View area to the HBRC SIG Wed night?

Sat, 02/02/2013 - 23:50
My brother Jon (j...@huv.com) is in Mountain View this week and would like
to drop in on the meeting.

If somebody is driving in from Mountain View that he can get a ride from,
or if somebody can make trains/bus recommendations, that would be great.

I've been running my turtlebot off an old Lenovo laptop that's big, heavy,
and gets about 20min off of it's battery. I think it's time for an
upgrade. I was looking at getting a mini itx (

it off a 14.4v battery. Does anyone have any other recommendations or

Loki Robot sensor interface changed from PIC to Arduino

Wed, 01/30/2013 - 21:57
After lots of requests from folks wanting to use Loki's code and hardware
designs with Arduino, I have converted Loki's sensor interface from a PIC
processor board to Arduino Mega 2560.

Check out the new interface shield schematic and source code at:
