Forth for Robotics and Programming at the Bare Metal
From HBRC Wiki
Speaker: David Wyland
Forth is a language developed for machine control and robotics is primarily about machine control. Machine control requires programming "at the bare metal," and Forth is ideal for this work.
In this talk, we will show how you can bring up Forth, step-by-step, on an Atmel AVR ATmega328P chip. In the demo, the 328 chip is on a Pololu Baby Orangutan module, similar to the Parallax Stamp module. We will show how Forth on the 328 module can be used to control a modified BOEbot platform
