Wiki Tools

Here are some tools to make your wiki editing easier.

  • Weekedit Firefox extension, using the context menu, request MediaWiki operations through hyperlinks or selected texts.
  • Get the Wikipedia Firefox extension for easier editing. (Check here for tips on installing it on FireFox versions > 1.5)
  • Goto this link here, then drag the link on that page to your browser toolbar. Whenever you are editing a page, it will add icons that will help you edit tables.

Tips

Creating a new page

There are many ways to create a new page. As an example, to add yourself to the members page you can do the following.

  1. Go to the Member Pages
  2. Click on the [Edit] tab.
  3. Add [[My Name]] to the member pages.
  4. Preview the change.
  5. Commit the change.
  6. Click on the [[My Name]] link.
  7. Click on the [Edit] tab.

Adding an Image

To add an image you can choose the "Upload file" option in the toolbox on the left side of the screen. Files must be <150K. After uploading your image you can refer to it via its filename [[Image:Example.jpg]] in the HTML and your image will show.

Formating an Image
