Rules and Regulations
The goal of the HomeBrew Robotics Club (HBRC) is to encourage people to have fun and learn technology by building their own robots. We try to add as little overhead to that as possible, but some rules are unavoidable.
HBRC is an official California unincorporated association. Our by-laws are posted here.
We make as many of our activities open to the general; public as possible. We do have memberships available to those who wish to participate in that way. You can read about Membership and Dues here. Membership dues support club activities. Members can vote for club officers or become an officer and can participate in certain member-only activities.
Sending Commercial Messages / Paid Ads
We maintain a Google Groups mailing list that is intended primarily for robotics questions and answers and club activities. We allow but do not encourage commercial messages.
There is a fee for commercial messages: $10 for club members and $20 for non-members. Before sending your message, send the fee via PayPal to treasurer@hbrobotics.org. Include “[PAID AD]” in the subject line.
No fee is required for
- Classes related to robotics
- Events related to robotics
- Announcements from other robotics clubs
